GOLF LOVERS NIGHT AT COMERICA: See the Detroit Tigers and benefit Youth on Course

DETROIT – Golf Lovers Night at Comerica is Saturday June 17 when the Detroit Tigers take on Tampa Bay.

Purchase the special ticket package on the link below and you will watch the game, receive a Tigers golf ball marker and be supporting junior golfers. From each ticket purchased $5 will be a donation to buy a Michigan youth around of golf this summer.

Golf facilities take heed: If a club gets 20 or more people to buy tickets as a group, they can get the name of the golf course shown on the scoreboard at some point during the game.

Through the Golf Association of Michigan Foundation’s Youth on Course program, kids will be able to play 18 holes for only $5 at the many participating golf facilities across the state this year, as well as the many participating courses in 13 other states.

Yes, just $5 as the newly established Golf Association of Michigan Foundation, a (501 (c) (3) tax-deductible non-profit organization, collects charitable donations from the golf community to subsidize the golf courses for their real pricing on green fees.

The GAM is one of 14 state golf associations currently working with Youth On Course, which was started 10 years about by the Northern California Golf Association and has over 400 golf courses involved allowing 20,000 youth members to play affordable golf.

Several youth have already signed on as members through the GAM for just $5. That membership will allow them to play this summer for $5 per round at participating golf courses. The GAM is working toward a goal of 50 or more golf facilities signing on as the golf season progresses.

Information on how to get your young golfer involved in Youth On Course is available at

Information on making a donation to the GAM Foundation’s work with Youth On Course is available at under the Foundation tab.

Michigan golf courses interested in getting involved should contact the GAM membership staff at 248-478-9242.

The GAM would like its members and others who support golf to consider a donation for Youth On Course.

“Youth On Course works,” David Graham, executive director of the GAM said. “Through it the GAM Foundation is helping to build the next generation of golfers.”

Go Tigers. Go Golf and take a kid with you for $5.
