Solitude Links Golf Course & Banquet Center is a premier golf course located in St. Clair County, Michigan, just 8 miles from the Blue Water Bridge. Golfers from the Detroit Metropolitan area and Port Huron, Marysville, and St. Clair County can enjoy the beauty of Solitude Links, and the course is easily accessible to golfers from Canada in the Sarnia and London, Ontario areas.
The impeccably-groomed course is managed by Davey Golf Course Maintenance, which is one of the premier golf maintenance companies in the country. Featuring bent grass tees, fairways & greens, and Native Sand bunkers, Solitude Links is a truly unique golfing experience.
According to Solitude Links owner Paul D’Anna, “Both the course itself and the lakes surrounding it were constructed based on the gravel and sand removed from the area to build the newer Blue Water Bridge.”
As the name suggests, Solitude Links is a links style course that brings back the tradition of how the game was meant to be played. Not only does the native grasses of the course create a challenge, but with an additional four lakes coming into play on 12 of the 18 holes, every shot is critical to score well. In addition to the lakes coming into play across the course, Solitude Links also features more than 60 bunkers. “We have wooded areas, gently rolling terrain, island greens, and peninsulas which adds to the excitement and challenge,” says D’Anna.
Solitude Links features multiple tee boxes ranging from 6711 yards at the championship tees to 4289 yards at the front tees, offering experienced and novice golfers alike a playable and satisfying round of golf.

When it comes to the overall favorite hole on the course, D’Anna says, “Everyone talks about Hole #1, with two shots required to go over water twice. Par 5, reachable in two with a well-placed drive. Almost everyone carries to the green on their second shot.”
A fun and unique feature on the course is the Par 3 tenth hole, where golfers can participate in the “Hit the Green Challenge”. Solitude Links has installed a high-definition camera on the hole so every action is recorded from tee to green 24/7. If you get a hole in one or land on the green, you win the corresponding prize based on your entry amount. You have the opportunity to win up to $50,000 for a hole in one!
In addition to a great course, Solitude Links offers golfers a full practice facility including a driving range with targets of varying yardages, and 2 practice greens with bunkers for chipping & putting.
Solitude Links offers many outings and leagues throughout the golfing season. Two popular upcoming outings are the Veteran’s Outing on September 18th and the Wacky Outing on October 7th. Registration is available for both online at https://www.solitudelinksgolf.com/outings/golf-outings.
