Britney Hamilton (Lake Orion) carded the second lowest round in the history of Western Michigan University when she shot a 68 at the 2010 Nittnay Lions Invitational last week. It was also a career low for Hamilton.
The Broncos finished second in the tournament as a team; nine strokes behind host champion Penn State. Hamilton finished the tournament fourth in par 4 scoring and tied for fifth in birdies with eight during the tournament. Hamilton’s 54-hole total of 221 also ties for the third lowest individual 54-hole performance in team history, matching herself from last year’s Nittany Lion Women’s Invitational.
The Broncos are at the MAC Preview Tournament Oct. 18 and the Pat Bradley Invitational on Oct. 31. For more information go to www.wmubroncos.com.
