Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic…February 15, 2011
The Couples Island Retreats I & II were held at the spectacular Casa de Campo resort during the first two weeks of February. Seven State Golf Associations were invited to participate in Net & Gross Championships for mixed couples.
Couples Island Retreat I
Bill & Stacy Hall, from Oak Ridge, Tennessee claimed the Gross Championship and Tony & Mary Marble, from Brentwood, Tennessee claimed the Net Championship in Couples Island Retreat I.
The Tennessee Golf Association won the Golf Association Title.
Couples Island Retreat II
Claud Johnston & Sara Wold, from Ann Arbor Michigan, claimed the Gross Championship and Dick & Angie Cook, from Ypsilanti, Michigan claimed the Net Championship in Couples Island Retreat II.
The Golf Association of Michigan won the Golf Association Title.
Golf Association Challenge Cup
The Golf Association of Michigan earned the inaugural “Golf Association Challenge Cup” which counted team net scores from the two championship Golf Associations. The Tennessee Golf Association was runner-up.

The Couples Island Retreats I & II were presented by the seven State Golf Associations in partnership with Bill & Kathie Johnstone of “Golf- Variations on a Theme”. These special opportunity events were offered as an added value of membership exclusively for members of the specific state golf associations.
