The 2011 golf season in Michigan is still quite young but soon the state’s top amateurs will be teeing it up in an effort to qualify for the 100th Michigan Amateur at Boyne’s Heather Course in Harbor Springs.
Applications for this historic Michigan Amateur will be accepted until April 27th. Players may register online at www.gam.org or by printing off an application available on the web site and returning it to the GAM Office in Farmington Hills in person or by mail.
Players must have a current GAM Handicap Index of 5.4 or lower. Any non-member may still register for the Amateur with a verified Handicap. Any male Michigan resident meeting the Handicap requirement is eligible.
