Field is full for first aces event in six years
Tee times will be printed online and in The News for contest at Whispering Willows.

It didn’t take long for The Detroit News Hole-in-One Contest to fill up its tee sheet.
An overwhelming response the first few days has led to a full field less than two weeks after the return of the contest was announced. Entries that arrive from this point forward will be placed on a waiting list in the event there are late openings.
The contest, back after a six-year absence as a joint effort of The News and the Golf Association of Michigan, is Sept. 17 at Whispering Willows Golf Course in Livonia.
Tee times will be posted by Sept. 14 on both Web sites — detnews.com/sports and gam.org. They will also appear in The News’ print sports section leading up to the contest and will be posted at Whispering Willows. Contest hours are 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and contestants must register 30 minutes before their tee time.
