Grand Rapids,
Mich– The Meijer State Games of Michigan announced that included in the 25
sports for the Olympic style event will be golf, held at The Meadows, Grand Valley State
University’s campus’ golf course.
The tournament is scheduled for June 22-23, 2011, with the shot gun start is set for 8:30am.
Our Tournament Director, Don Underwood, also the GVSU Men’s Head Golf Coach, will be
heading up this tournament. The tournament fee is $65 which includes 36 holes of golf. Men
and women of all ages can participate in this tournament and strive to win gold, silver and

The Meijer State Games of Michigan will be June 24-26, 2011 in the Grand Rapids area.
Opening Ceremonies will be held at Fifth Third Ballpark (4500 West River Dr, Comstock Park,
MI 49321) on Friday June 24, 2011. A total of 25 sports will be offered for participants of all
ages; with 10 sports added from the original 15 in the inaugural 2010 year. A list of all 25 sports
can be found below.
