The Annual Wheels 4 Wheels Golf Fundraiser will be May 21 at the Captain’s Club of Woodfield in Grand Blanc. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of a new wheelchair equipped vehicle for someone in need.
Vehicles converted to wheelchair accessibility can cost twice that of the base vehicle. One mission of The Wheels 4 Wheels organization revolves around conducting fund raising activities to assist with the transportation needs of individuals who require a wheelchair as their primary means of mobility. Assistance may come in the form of a vehicle, modifications, adaptive equipment, power or manual wheelchairs, or any combination therein.
Registration is at 11 a.m. with a 1 p.m. shotgun start and dinner at 6:30 p.m. The event is a 4-man scramble format for 18 holes with a cart. There will also be a 50/50 drawing, silent auction and entertainment during dinner. Cost is $75 per golfer or $300 per team of four. Non golfers who want only to attend the dinner and post-golf activates can do so for $40.
