Scott Hebert, head golf professional at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, qualified for the 91st PGA Championship by finishing in a tie for 16th at the PGA Professional National Championship this week in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M.
Hebert, who led after the first round with a 5-under 66, finished at 2- under 282.
Hebert, a six-time Michigan Open champion, won the PGA Professional National Championship in 2008 and qualified for the PGA Championship at Oakland Hills but missed the 36-hole cut.
This year’s PGA Championship will be Aug. 13-16 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
