The 73rd Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, the most historic and prestigious event in senior golf, makes its first appearance in Michigan at Harbor Shores, with legendary Jack Nicklaus playing a big role.
Harbor Shores, a Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, marks the first major championship in Southwest Michigan, with Nicklaus participating in a news conference, Tuesday, May 22, prior to conducting a golf clinic that afternoon free of charge to ticket-bearing guests. The clinic will host more than 100 juniors representing area organizations: the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor; The First Tee of Benton Harbor; the Eau Claire High School Boys’ Varsity Golf Team; the YMCA of Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, Mich.; the Benton Harbor Charter School; the Benton Harbor Dream Academy; the Benton Harbor High School Boys’ Varsity Golf Team; and the St. Joseph High School Boys’ Varsity Golf Team.
Harbor Shores, a 6,822-yard, par-71 Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, is part of the 530-acre Harbor Shores development that spans part of Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, and Benton Charter Township.
