Liz Nagel of DeWitt, Mich., the 2012 GAM Women’s Player of the Year, was featured on the front page of the May 24 Lansing State Journal.
Nagel, a junior on the Michigan State Women’s Golf squad, was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in late 2012. She has played in all but one event for the Spartans this season and finished tied for third at the Lady Buckeye Invitational this past weekend.
Nagel and the Spartans are shooting for their third consecutive Big Ten Championship this weekend in French Lick, Ind.
