MICHIGAN SECTION PGA ELECTS NEW OFFICERS
East Lansing, MI – The Michigan Section PGA elected three new officers for a two year term at the Association’s Annual Meeting attended by over 270 Michigan PGA Members. The meeting was held October 28, 2013 at Eagle Eye Golf Club in East Lansing, Michigan. Doug White, of Pinckney, MI, takes over as the Association’s President.
White, a member of The PGA of America since 1983, retired last year after serving as the Head Golf Professional at Barton Hills Country Club since 1987. White succeeds Gary Koenes of Kalamazoo, MI.
Ron Osborne, of Binder Park Golf Club in Battle Creek, has been elected Vice President. Osborne, a member of The PGA of America since 1992, has been the Head Golf Professional at Binder Park since 2003. Osborne previously served as Secretary of the Michigan PGA and succeeds White.
Kevin McKinley, of Treetops Resort & Spa, has been elected Secretary. McKinley, a member of The PGA of America since 2002, has been the Director of Golf at Treetops since 2004 and will succeed Ron Osborne.
“The Association is fortunate to be able to utilize Doug, Ron and Kevin’s expertise going forward. This group of officers is dedicated to working with the Board of Directors to serve the needs of the entire membership,” said Kevin Helm, Michigan PGA Executive Director.
The Michigan PGA and its 800 members and apprentices serve the Michigan golf community by promoting the game of golf and overall vitality of the game.
