MWGA PRESIDENT’S STROKE PLAY COMPETITION

May 24 2013 The Michigan Women’s Golf Association (MWGA) President’s Stroke Play competition will be played on the Championship Course at Oak Pointe Country Club in Brighton, MI on Saturday, June 8. Widely regarded for the Arthur Hills and Jerry Matthews-designed golf courses, Oak Pointe Country Club has been one of the top private clubs in Livingston County for nearly two decades.
The competition is handicapped and flighted. A USGA index is required or women will play at scratch. Contact Barb Coury for additional information at [email protected]. Registration is open online at www.mwgolf.org. Deadline for entry is May 29, ten days prior to the competition.
Play will begin with a 1:00pm shotgun from tees at 5039 yards with a rating of 68.7 and slope of 121. Golfers will play in pairings of three. The member fee for 18 holes, cart, range balls and prizes is $63; non-member $83; plus an optional $10 to participate in contests such as chip-ins and closest to the flagstick. Women playing as non-members will receive a $20 certificate that may be used during 2013 toward membership or other MWGA events.
