Golfweek Stableford National Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 25, 2011) – Golfweek today announced Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau as the official partner of the inaugural Golfweek Stableford National Championship. Open to amateur golfers of all ages and abilities, this unique event will be played Jan. 28-31 across three Central Florida courses – The Legends at Orange Lake Resort, Celebration Golf Club and ChampionsGate Golf Club (International Course).

“We are especially proud that Golfweek has chosen three of our finest courses to debut its National Stableford Championship,” said Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington. “Each course offers its own uniquely rewarding golf experience, the likes of which will challenge the competitors yet also invite them to have fun. That’s important to us because having fun is one of the core reasons why golfers and millions of travelers around the world choose to stay and play in Kissimmee each year.”

In addition to enjoying three of the Orlando-area’s most exciting courses, participants in the Golfweek Stableford National Championship will also play for $15,000 in gift cards (based on a full field), participate in a skills challenge and gain access to the exclusive industry-only PGA Merchandise Show through a guided tour.

“We are thrilled to be working with the Kissimmee CVB to premiere the Golfweek Stableford National Championship right here in Central Florida, as it offers just about everything a golfer could want in a competitive event – great courses, an exciting format and exclusive entry into the world’s largest golf industry event,” said Armand Cimaroli, Golfweek’s director of events.

Now through Nov. 1, golfers can register to play in the 2012 Golfweek Stableford National Championship for just $495. Visit www.GolfweekEvents.com for complete tournament details and registration.
