MWGA 31st STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AND OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS
July 25-26 State Championship, Links at Gateway, Romulus
June 18, 2015, Farmington, Mich. The 31st Michigan Women’s Golf Association State Championship,
open to all female amateur golfers, will be held at Links at Gateway in Romulus, Michigan, on Saturday
and Sunday, July 25-26. Play will begin both days with a 9am shotgun. The Championship flight
yardage TBA, but approximately 5400+ yards with a course rating: 70.7 and slope rating: 120. All other
flights: 4852 yards, course rating 67.9, slope rating – 114. Pairings for this individual stroke play is done
by player index. Defending champions Kim Dinh from Midland and U of W will be going for a 3-peat in
the Collegiate/Student Division and Terry Delcamp from Grand Blanc for her 5th MWGA Championship
Title.
Golf, cart, range, prizes, awards, and lunch buffet on Sunday are included in the $63/day members,
$83/day non-members entry fee. The student rate (ages 18 – 30) is $98 for both days. Caddies are
allowed. GAM Women’s, Senior Women’s, and Junior Girl’s Honor Roll Points are given to the
Champion (150), Runner-up (90) and other top 15 scorers including ties from the Championship flights.
Players must have current, official USGA handicap index that adheres to the MWGA Handicap
Guidelines or they will be subject to the penalties for net prizes as described in the guidelines.
An additional $10/day optional, paid-in-advance fee is required to participate in games such as
skins, closest to the flagstick and chip-ins. Registration is available online. Deadline for entry is 10
days prior to event date. A first-time one-year new membership cost is $35 so after playing in just two

After golf, while winners are being determined, players may enjoy a 50/50 raffle as well as good
food and beverages.

• 2-Woman MWGA Star Spangled 9-hole Scramble in Red, White and Blue on Saturday,
July 11 at Glen Oaks in Farmington Hills with a 3pm shotgun. Special $45 entry fee for this fun event
including golf, cart, range and special games
• 4-Woman 4-Ball on Saturday, August 8 at Oak Lane in Webberville with a 9am shotgun
