On September 24^th, at Lakelands Golf & Country Club, Michael Brown of Marshall won the 7^th Michigan Net Amateur Championship. Brown followed his net 68 on the first day with a steady net 71 on the second day to defeat his nearest competitor by three strokes. A record number of players entered the Net Amateur this year, and qualifying was conducted at four sites throughout August. A final 84 golfers teed it up at Lakelands to compete in four flights. Brown won the Men?s Division, Glenn Potyczka won the Senior Men?s, Theresa Nickerson captured the Women?s Division, and Sandy Paaso won the Senior Women?s. Next year?s Championship has been scheduled for September 13 & 14 at Oak Pointe Country Club (Championship Course) in Brighton
