EUREKA, Mo. — After completing round one on Tuesday morning, the Wayne State University men’s golf team concluded play at the second Midwest Regional of the season at Fox Run Golf Course during the afternoon. In the 24-team field, the Warriors tied-for-11th with a 36-hole score of 626 (314, 312).

Ferris State was able to hold on to its day-one lead with a 606 (297, 309). Keenai Sampson of McKendree won the event with a 142 (68, 74).

This event, along with the three other Midwest Regionals on the schedule, will help determine which teams are selected for the Super Regional in May.

WARRIORS LINEUP
– Jordan Andrus (Pinckney, Mich.) led WSU with a 151 (78 73) while Kyle Rybicki (Commerce, Mich. / Orchard Lake St. Mary’s) tied-for-17th after carding a 154 (73, 81).
– Tyler LaSerra (Jackson, Mich. / Napoleon) finished with a 160 (81, 79).
– Crawford McKinlay (Ridgetown, Ont.) posted a 161 (82, 79) while Nikolas Senkowski (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Avondale) rounded out the starting five with a 163 (82, 81).
