Inaugural GAM Golf Day Series Championship a Big Finish at Indianwood G&CC

LAKE ORION – Indianwood G&CC – Old Course served as the host for the inaugural GAM Golf Day Series Championship presented by Dunham’s Sports on Tuesday. Sixty-three golfers earned entry to this year-end competition through their performance at one of 10 GAM Golf Day Series Championship held throughout the season.

Making the stakes higher, the Championship competitors were playing for a complimentary GAM Golf Day during the 2017 season. That was in addition to the host pro shop gift certificates that are a part of all GAM Golf Days.

Claiming the grand prizes were James Fuller (Men’s Gross), Neil Nelson (Men’s Net), Dale Robb (Men’s Senior Gross), Jerry Bonnano Jr. (Men’s Senior Net), Kim Faber (Women’s Gross) and Peti Mlinek (Women’s Net).

Furthermore, the GAM Golf Day Series Championship also saw the drawing for the year-long Dunham’s Sports GAM Golf Day Raffle. Golfers had the opportunity to enter their names at every GAM Golf Day in hopes of winning one of three Dunham’s Gift Cards. The winners were Michael Varner ($250), Tim Hill ($200), and Jeff Anderson ($150).

All told, the GAM conducted 30 GAM Golf Days in 2016 with an average of over 63 golfers participating in each one. They are designed to provide GAM Members the opportunity to enjoy an elite golf experience at some of the state’s most prestigious country clubs and resorts at an affordable price and in a casual, fun atmosphere.

The staff at the Golf Association of Michigan will be spending the off-season putting together another superb slate of GAM Golf Days for 2017. Participants will be notified when the 2017 schedule is finalized and when GAM Golf Day registration opens.
