For those not familiar with the Michigan Women’s Golf Association, membership is available to amateur female golfers of all ages and skill levels — from students in high school and college to experienced, super senior golfers and all women in between. In addition, MWGA members may sponsor a male for membership, allowing an avenue by which to obtain a USGA Index. An association membership is offered to organizations and businesses wishing to support and receive information from the MWGA, a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1986 with presently over 200 members.

The MWGA provides a variety of golf competitions, rules and skills clinics and a match play league for female golfers.  A couple of competitions are open to member male partners too. An excellent Girls Golf Program offering golf instructions for girls and boys as well as a junior golf league is also available.
