Championship Player Memo
This correspondence will verify your entry into the 6th GAM Four-Ball Championship at Travis Pointe Country Club on Monday, September 23, 2019   

INFORMATION

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, September 23, 2019 

SHOTGUN START: There will be two waves of Shotgun starts (Morning & Afternoon). You must be in your cart ready to receive announcements 20 minutes prior to the beginning of your wave.

CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / GAM Four-Ball – Course Setup. All yardage is projected and subject to change.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-94 to Exit 175 (Ann Arbor-Saline Rd.). Go S on Ann Arbor-Saline Rd, go to 1st stop sign. Turn L (E) to stay on Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. Continue to 1st traffic light (Pleasant Lake Rd. /Travis Pointe Rd.) Turn L (N) on Travis Pointe Rd. and go ¼ mile to the club.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (734) 662-5703.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Four-Ball Championship contestants.

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

FOOD: There will be a complimentary lunch provided prior to the round for afternoon wave contestants or following the round for morning wave contestants.

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory for this Championship and is included in your entry fee. Caddies are NOT permitted for this championship. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE: Range opens one hour prior to the Morning and Afternoon Shotgun starts and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. 

PLAYOFF: A tie for first place in each wave will be broken by a sudden death playoff.  Ties for runner-up will be broken by scorecard playoff. If there is a tie for the Overall Championship between teams from different waves, a scorecard playoff will be used.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournamententry@gam.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions. Refunds will be issued if the GAM office is notified prior to the close of entries for that competition. After the entry deadline, fees will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness (with a verified doctor's note). There is a $20 processing fee applied to all refunds.
