The GAM Foundation supports access to affordable golf for youth — an investment in the future of the game. Our simple goal is to help more kids play more golf for $5 or less through Youth on Course. We are making golf more affordable and accessible at a local level – an effort which requires help from generous individuals like you.

The main beneficiary of the GAM Foundation is Youth on Course in Michigan – providing subsidy payments to participating clubs which defers the major payment away from the YOC member

GAM Foundation Educational Scholarship

The GAM Foundation sponsors an educational scholarship for PGM (Professional Golf Management) students attending Ferris State University. All PGM students at Ferris State are eligible to apply for this award. Past participation in Youth on Course Michigan or the GAM is considered in the selection process with the hope that the scholarship recipient will offer YOC opportunities at their future golf facility. The GAM Foundation makes annual contributions from its general fund to the scholarship endowment managed by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. The Golf Association of Michigan Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Consistent with the overall mission of the GAM to “promote, preserve and serve amateur golf in Michigan”, the foundation allows the GAM to invest in new programming to support access to the game to the broadest possible audience of Michigan residents and to provide tax benefits for contributions from our supporters.
