Course Rating for Clubs

Course Rating

A valid Course Rating allows golfers interested in maintaining a USGA Handicap Index® the ability to post scores for rounds played at your facility. A Course Rating is valid for ten years. As part of our course rating service, GAM provides verified yardage measurements, Course Ratings and Slope Ratings for each tee and upon request, recommended Stroke Index Allocations and hybrid/combo tee ratings.

For Clubs and Facilities Needing to be Rated or Re-rated

Clubs requiring a 10-year, or other standard interval re-rating will be contacted by GAM with further scheduling information. Member clubs in good standing received standard interview re-ratings at no direct charge.

Current GAM Member Clubs and Courses requesting an early re-rating due to course changes should contact the GAM Course Rating Department directly for club-specific guidance and evaluation of the given situation.

Non-member clubs are asked to complete the New Club Member Application form linked here

When the GAM Course Rating team comes to rate it would be appreciated if lunch would be provided by the golf facility. GAM is a non-profit organization, and the raters are volunteers. Lunch is very abbreviated and meant to be modest (hamburger or hot dog). Will you provide lunch for the raters?*
