Established in 1929, the course is operated by the Jackson County Parks Department and is the marquee course in a town known for golf.

The signature hole on the course is the par four seventeenth. The hole measures 383 yards from the white tees and a creek runs across the fairway about 240 yards out. The approach is played to a severely sloped green guarded by trees and bunkers.
In addition to a great golf course, Cascades offers a large putting and chipping practice area, a driving range and a short 9-hole Executive course adjacent to the championship course. Electric carts and pull carts are available to rent.

Named after the longtime Cascades PGA Professional, the center offers a variety of ways to improve your game. Featuring 6 par fours and 3 par threes, the Executive course is an excellent place to sharpen your iron play and serves as a wonderful learning course.
What makes Cascades different than most courses in the area is the Footgolf course that is adjacent to the Executive course. It is a 9-hole course that is USFGA certified.
Cascades Golf Course has hosted major championship qualifiers such as the U.S. Amateur, Michigan Open and the Michigan Amateur. The course has also been voted “Jackson Best Golf Course” along with being a 4 Star Award Winner as one of the best courses to play.
