Stonebridge Golf Club in Ann Arbor is located just two miles south of the infamous “Big House”, and is one of the top public golf courses in the area.
Designed in 1991 by renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills, Stonebridge Golf Club winds through the neighboring residential communities and gives golfers scenic views as they progress through their round.
The course offers bent grass fairways, tees and greens that are manicured, and strategically placed fairway and green-side bunkers filled with aesthetically pleasing soft, white silica sand. Shrubs and flower beds are scattered throughout the neighboring communities, which makes the course even more beautiful. In addition, the many ponds, creeks and natural areas promote a good deal of wildlife throughout the course.
Stonebridge has been honored by writers of the Detroit Free Press as one of Metro Detroit’s Top Ten Golf Courses open to the public.
With four sets of tees ranging from 6,932 yards to 5,198 yards, Stonebridge has a tee set for golfers of all different handicaps. The detailed tee information is:

The signature hole on the course is the Par 3 6th, which is rated as one of Metro Detroit Area’s toughest holes. It is the number one handicap on the course and is a long par 3 that requires a solid tee shot to reach the green in regulation.
One of the favorite holes on the course among the frequent Stonebridge players is the 4th. It is the shortest Par 3 on the course, but it doesn’t come without its challenges. The hole requires a very accurate tee shot to avoid trouble. If you hit your ball too far to the left, you will end up in a bunker; and if you hit your ball too far to the right, you will end up in the water.
As a whole, the course at Stonebridge Golf Club is a good mix of risk versus reward. Multiple holes on the course will tempt players to “go for it” at the risk of a higher score.
In addition to a very well-designed course, Stonebridge Golf Club offers players a full practice facility including a huge grass range with target areas, and an adjacent short game area with a practice sand bunker. Near the clubhouse is an incredibly expansive putting green, with 2 more sand traps and a chipping/pitching green. To keep your game up to par during the offseason, Stonebridge has an indoor golf simulator. You can choose from dozens of championship virtual golf courses or use the indoor driving range. The state-of-the-art simulator offers a swing analysis after every stroke.
The clubhouse is also a top-notch facility with locker rooms that include showers, and an outing/banquet facility that can accommodate up to 200 people. The restaurant/lounge area provides comfortable inside seating and serves lunch and dinner items. Outside, there is a beautiful and spacious patio that features its own bar, and is set in a great golf environment.
If you are looking for a great venue to host a wedding, Stonebridge has everything you will need.
