Troy, Michigan – Booz Allen Hamilton, a nationally recognized consulting firm (www.boozallen.com ), has teamed with the Salute Military Golf Association (www.smga.org ) to sponsor a Wounded Warrior Golf Classic on September 16, 2013 at TPC Michigan.
For nearly a century, Booz Allen Hamilton has provided consulting services to government agencies, corporations, institutions, and nonprofit organizations throughout the world. While our primary goal focuses on helping clients succeed in challenging management, engineering, and technology endeavors, we never lose sight of how our people can make a difference in the communities in which they live and work. 2013 marks the fourth year Booz Allen Hamilton is partnering with SMGA to support wounded warriors and warrior golfers by hosting a charity fundraising tournament. SMGA’s mission is to provide rehabilitative golf experiences for combat-wounded veterans in an effort to improve the quality of life for these American heroes. Since 2004, SMGA has equipped more than 660 soldiers with properly fitted golf clubs, offered free lessons to nearly 1,700 combat-wounded soldiers, provided individualized player development programs, including golf clinics, personal lessons, and specialized equipment, and more.
Booz Allen Hamilton and SMGA cordially invite all Golf Association of Michigan members to participate in this very worthwhile event to support and encourage our wounded warriors in their healing process and to thank them for their service and sacrifice in protecting us and our great country.
