EAST LANSING – Jeffrey T. Holmes, the golf course superintendent at Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada Township since 1993, has been elected as the Michigan Golf Course Superintendents Association (MiGCSA) Chapter President for 2015.
The MiGSCA held its annual elections last week at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing during the Michigan Turfgrass Conference.
Other officers elected to the MiGSCA board include Vice President Justin Bickel, superintendent at The Nightmare and Dream Golf Courses in West Branch, and Secretary/Treasurer Mark Ostrander, superintendent at The Moors Country Club in Portage.
The election marked the end of board service for Greg Pattinson, superintendent at Indianwood Golf &Country Club and the 2013 President and 2014 Past President, and Gregg Matthews, superintendent at Tam-O-Shanter Country Club in West Bloomfield who completed his term as President and moves into the Past President position on the Board.
Dave Pawluk, superintendent at The Inn at St. Johns, was reelected to the Board to represent the Detroit District. Mike Rosen, superintendent at The Otsego Club in Gaylord was reelected to represent the Northern District.
Dan Mausolf, superintendent at Radrick Farms in Ann Arbor and certified golf course superintendent Rob Steger were elected to the Board of Directors replacing Greg Pattinson and Phil Owen, superintendent at Warwick Hills Country Club in Grand Blanc. Pattinson and Owen ended their terms in the Mid District.
