ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland men’s golfer Evan Bowser has been named Oakland’s Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 5, after setting the school record for lowest 54-hole tournament score last week at the Derek Dolenc Invitational.

Bowser, a senior from Dearborn, Mich., shot three-straight rounds under-par including a pair of 68’s to finish with a 205 (-8), breaking Jon Pauli’s 54-hole record of 206 set back in 2005. He extends his school record for most career rounds under par to 25.

The Golden Grizzlies return to action on Monday as they travel to Ohio to compete in the CSU Invitational, hosted by Cleveland State, from Barrington Golf Club.
