The Meadows and Kendall Academy Team Up for Top-Notch Instruction
(Allendale, MI) Located in Allendale at Grand Valley State University, The Meadows Golf Club prides itself on complementing the educational mission of the campus by providing high quality instructional services. It?s a place to learn or to improve one?s game in addition to playing it. This golf season The Meadows is teaming up with the award-winning Kendall Academy to offer expanded instruction, lessons and clinics for the novice, weekend, and competitive player alike.
Based in Ypsilanti, MI, Kendall Academy boasts five of the top 17 teachers in Michigan as ranked by Golf Digest. Founded by Dave Kendall, a two-time Michigan PGA Teacher of the Year and the current President of the Michigan PGA, Kendall Academy has attracted a large and loyal following of golfers across the state. This season Kendall Academy will expand its services by opening a new location at The Meadows under the direction of PGA teaching professional Derek Radley.
?We couldn?t be happier about partnering with Kendall Academy, one of the best teaching facilities in the state if not the country,? said Terry Sack, General Manager of The Meadows. ?Both Dave Kendall and Derek Radley are excellent teachers who?ll provide a comprehensive instructional program here at the Meadows.?
A Ferris State University graduate and four-year member on its golf team, Radley started his teaching career at the Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, MI, ranked as a Top 25 Golf School in the country by Golf Magazine. From there Radley moved to Charlotte, NC, where he taught at the Dana Rader Golf School, also ranked as a Top 25 Golf School. He and his wife returned to West Michigan last fall in order to be closer to family and for Derek to join Kendall Academy. ?I?m so thrilled to be back in West Michigan and to be a part of Kendall Academy,? said Radley, who took charge of the popular and busy ?junior golf area? at February?s West Michigan Golf Show. ?The Meadows has an exceptional practice area including a short game area and sheltered tees. It?s one of the best in the area.?
Added Dave Kendall: ?Derek is a smart, patient, and energetic teacher with a keen eye for the game and the swing. His students will be in very good hands at The Meadows.?
