Terms of GAM Membership

New GAM Member Clubs who do not have a valid course ratings are required to have one conducted within the first year of membership. Clubs are responsible for providing accommodation for the course rating process, as indicated in the club course rating checklist linked here. A nominal setup fee will be charged for any club requiring a course rating. All new member clubs with real estate, regardless of course rating status are obligated to pre-pay for two years of GAM member club dues upon joining. No course rating will be scheduled until the payment is received by GAM. 

Members wishing to be handicapping clubs are authorized retailers of GAM memberships, which include a WHS-compliant Handicap Index®. GAM has exclusive rights to provide member clubs with WHS compliant handicapping services within Michigan. Wholesale pricing for member clubs is $26 per golfer. The suggested retail price is $41. Handicapping clubs may collect payments from golfers through private roster management, or direct golfers to use GAM’s online join/renew process at GAM.org. Clubs participating in online join/renew are eligible to receive revenue-generating incentive payments for each golfer who becomes a GAM member through GAM.org. Golfers between the ages of 6-18 are eligible for free junior memberships, as long as their correct birthdate is entered into their profile.
