New in 2009, Golfweek has expanded its junior golf platform to include five competitive junior events. Open to gofers of any skill level, ages 18 and under, this series includes four qualifiers, all leading up to Golfweek?s Junior Invitational to be held on Nov. 7-8 at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla.

The next qualifier in the Series will be played at Treetops Resort, MI on Sept. 4-6.

The top five boys and five girls from each of the 36-hole events (including ties) will be given exemption into the Invitational, while the top boys and girls based on the Golfweek/Titleist Junior Rankings will be invited to complete the field.

These ranked events offer junior golfers seeking maximum exposure through Golfweek and Golfweek.com a great opportunity: the magazine?s writers and camera crew will be at each junior event. Another benefit is that Golfweek?s Junior Invitational in November has been recognized by the AJGA. Players who place highly in the tournament will receive special AJGA exemptions (more details on www.golfweekevents.com).
