Starting on Jan. 1, 2011, your GAM/USGA handicap index will update each month on the 1st and the 15th. That means your index will update during the winter months as well which may be of interest to those of you who post scores from warmer climates when the Michigan links are snowcovered. Just one note; if your club still uses the old handicap system, your index may not update automatically as that system requires someone at the clubhouse to manually initiate the process. So only those clubs using the newer Windows-based system will see their index update.
